Maggie Stangis

Maggie’s project aims to further the understanding of the role that the tumor microenvironment plays in the formation and progression of cancers. Specifically, her project focuses on two main aspects of the tumor microenvironment: first, the cellular interactions between different clonal populations within a tumor, and second, the influence of underlying cell populations, such as senescent fibroblasts, on these interactions and tumorigenesis.
